1. Who is responsible
The party responsible for personal data collected through this website is David Jay, 12 Harbour Street, 00000 Nantes, France. Email: [email protected]
2. Overview
This policy describes what personal data is handled when you browse this site, turn on optional content or send an enquiry. Personal data is only used where it is needed to run the site, answer your message, carry out a booking, meet legal duties or where you have given consent.
3. Hosting and delivery
This site is served through a hosting and content delivery provider. Technical data such as your IP address, time of visit, page requested, referring page, browser and device details and security logs may be handled. This keeps the site secure, stable and fast and helps prevent abuse. Our legitimate interest in running the site may be the legal basis.
Provider: our hosting partner (placeholder). Where data leaves your region, suitable safeguards are applied as required by law.
4. Images and page content
Page text and images are stored with a content management service and delivered through its network. This may involve your IP address, the requested file, the time of access and browser and device details. The purpose is to show you the content you asked for. Our legitimate interest may be the legal basis.
5. Remembering your privacy settings
Your choices about optional services are saved locally in your browser so the site remembers them. Storing strictly necessary information on your device is permitted by law. Where a choice involves consent, that consent is the legal basis. You can update your settings at any time from the link in the footer.
6. Visitor analytics
If you agree, we use an analytics tool to see how visitors use the site. Identifiers, IP and device details, rough location, pages viewed, visit information and clicks may be handled. Analytics only loads once you have agreed. Your consent is the legal basis.
Provider: our analytics partner (placeholder). Data may be processed outside your region.
7. Interactive map
The portfolio page offers an optional interactive map. The map service is only contacted once you switch it on. Your IP address and visit, device, map and usage data may then be handled. Your consent is the legal basis.
Provider: our map partner (placeholder). The provider may use servers worldwide and keeps technical logs for a limited period, typically around 30 days, unless needed to investigate security issues.
8. Enquiry form
The contact page includes an embedded enquiry form from a third-party form service. Opening the page may connect your browser to that service and its partners. Your IP address, browser and device details and technical identifiers may be handled.
When you send the form, we use the details you share to read and answer your enquiry, stay in touch and, if it fits, put together a proposal. Taking steps before a contract, or carrying one out, is the legal basis. Enquiries that clearly aren't a fit are normally removed after six months, and other enquiries that don't lead to a booking after twelve months from last contact, unless the law requires otherwise.
9. Staying in touch after an enquiry
After you get in touch, we mainly reply by email using a business email provider. We handle your contact details, messages and any documents needed for your enquiry or booking. Taking steps toward or carrying out a contract is the legal basis. Where the law requires us to keep certain records, we keep them for that reason.
Everyday project messages that the law doesn't require us to keep are reviewed once a project ends. Our current practice is to review them after three years.
10. How long we keep data
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for. After that it is deleted, unless legal retention rules, legal claims or another valid reason mean it has to be kept longer.
11. Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you can ask to see, correct, delete, limit, move or object to the use of your personal data. You can withdraw consent at any time for the future and complain to your data protection authority. Use the email address above to exercise any of these rights.
12. Security and changes
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal data. This policy is updated when the site, our services or the law changes. Last updated: October 2026.
Strictly necessary session data
This site saves a small piece of technical information in your browser's session storage so the opening animation plays only once per tab. It stays in your browser and is never used for analytics or advertising. Storing strictly necessary information on your device is permitted by law.
External links
This site links to social media and other outside services. No connection is made to those providers until you click a link. Their own privacy policies then apply.
