SOME DAYS ARE BEST KEPT SMALL.
Documentary photography for a handful of weddings of up to 20 guests. Often fewer. Nantes and Europe.
WHY KEEP IT SMALL
Years of weddings taught me one lesson.
The real moments always live in the smallest part of the day.
Not the grand hall. The glance just before. Not the head table. The hour after dinner, when everyone still there is someone who truly belongs.
The smaller the day, the more space there tends to be for the people who are actually part of it.
WHAT I WON'T DO
I don't turn up with a list your day has to satisfy.
I don't expect your day to deliver certain moments for my camera. I don't pull you away from your guests for an hour of formal group shots. I don't stage moments or take charge of the room.
I work around whatever is already happening and capture what matters without pulling the celebration away from itself.
Your day doesn't need to put on a show for me.
WHEN IT'S A YES
No checklist decides it for me.
Up to 20 guests. Often fewer. A day shaped by the people in it rather than a running order. A ceremony that means something to you, whether it's at a town hall, in a garden, a forest or a favourite restaurant.
Families welcome. Complications welcome. You don't need to tidy up your relationships for the day to belong here.
It's how you talk about the people who'll be there, how you want the day to feel and whether I can work in the way I trust. And honestly, where it falls in my calendar matters too.
- HOW I WORK ON THE DAY

Quietly. No clipboard.
I'll know the schedule. I won't be in charge of it.
I stay close to what's real. The whispered asides. The breath before. The glance across the room.
The images I treasure most are the ones nobody asked for.
- FAMILY

Stepfamilies. Separated parents.
You choose who belongs in your day.
You never need to show me a simpler version of your family or your relationships.
WHAT HAPPENS
We talk first.
Not a formal meeting, just a proper chat. I want to understand what the day means to you and what you hope to take away from it.
On the day: I arrive, I pay attention, I keep out of the way. Afterwards: a gallery that looks like your wedding really felt.

THE RIGHT MATCH
When it's a yes
Capturing the day matters more to you than directing it. You want the wedding to feel like your real life, not a set built for photographs.
I only photograph a few weddings each year now. A good match isn't about status, looks or a picture-perfect family. It's about whether I can work quietly, stay near what's unfolding and make the kind of images I believe in.
Twenty guests is the upper limit, not a goal. Usually, it's fewer. Also not a match: long lists of formal group photos, detailed shot lists or a day that needs the photographer to run the room.

Ready to tell me about yours?
I only photograph a few weddings each year now. Tell me how you want the day to feel, who'll be there and what matters most. I'll tell you honestly whether I think I'm the right fit.
