A direct intimate portrait in warm interior light

INTIMATE PORTRAITS

Intimate portraits made together with you, never forced on you. We work with light, space, wardrobe, movement and just enough direction. You choose what is shown and what stays yours.

WHO THIS IS FOR

You don't need an excuse to be seen.

Some people arrive with a clear vision. Others only know they'd like to see themselves in a new way.

You can show up bold, unsure, curious or a bit of each.

Nothing needs fixing beforehand.

EASE AND CHOICE

You don't have to feel relaxed to begin.

You choose what is shown, what stays private and when it's enough. I'll always explain what I'm doing and why. You can change your mind at any moment. Feeling nervous doesn't mean it isn't working. It means we're working with something honest.

You're always in charge.

THE PROCESS

The process

I normally set aside two to three hours per session. We start somewhere you know: your home, your street or a place that feels like you.

Some days we pick up the camera right away. Other days we talk for thirty minutes or an hour first, because that's what feels right. I never see that time as wasted.

If we need more time at the end to make work we're both happy with, I stay. I won't hurry a session just because it took a while to settle in.

While we photograph, I use light, framing and just the right amount of guidance.

We finish when it feels finished, not when the clock says so.

MY APPROACH

Some frames are set up with real precision, sometimes to the last centimetre: where you stand, where the light lands and what sits inside the edges.

Then I watch what happens inside that frame. A gesture I didn't ask for. A breath. The way you shift once the directions stop being the main event.

An image might be soft, unusual, sensual, reserved or bold. It doesn't need to match one idea of what an intimate portrait is supposed to be.

I'm after something specific to you, not a template.

I've been photographing people for nearly two decades. The technical side, the light, the lens and the framing, is on me. You don't need to think about any of it. Trust is another matter. I can't force it or ask you to open up on cue. What I can do is explain, listen, guide when it's useful and let the session unfold at your speed.
